Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, Book 1) by Kelley Armstrong

Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, Book 1) by Kelley Armstrong: excellent novel by first time author Kelly Armstrong. It deals with Elena, a woman turned werewolf, who has distanced herself from the only family she’s really ever had - The Pack. She has to return home after some alarming circumstances arrive, threatening the carefully crafted life she’s made for herself.

I really enjoyed this book and feel that it was a great book, especially considering it was penned by a first time novelist. The characters were real and very interesting, especially the conflict between Elena and Clay. Very good book, with a nice new twist on the werewolf concept.

Absolutely agree with you! She doesn't gloss over any of her characters -- you know every dynamic and every one of their thoughts. It's nice to read a book that let's you feel like you know the characters personally, rather than from a distance. I can't wait to see what she comes out with next.

I do think it's a little sad that they're turning this book into a movie, though -- there's no way they can do this book justice on film.

I ADORE this novel. I've never been so happy to re-read it. In fact I just finished it again this afternoon.

I AM however dissapointed in Hollywood... Bitten is being turned into a movie with Angelina Jolie as Eleana! >_

I'm sorry... I don't see it. As much as I adore Jolie... the part is SO not her. Armstrong portrays the woman as average in looks with not THAT much in the chest area and rather althetic...

anyone else have a problem with this casting?!

Love this book. The relationships between all of the characters, Jeremy and Elena, Elena and Clay, etc. is so well described that you almost feel like you are Elena. I am disapointed that Angelina Jolie is going to be Elena. As much as I like Jolie, the book describes Elena as an athletic blonde girl, who is stubborn, and a pain in the neck to those who love her. Jolie just seems too... girly? to play this role. Oh, and does anyone know who's gonna be Clay?
